RE: Can I use my Android phone as a controller in PPSSPP for Windows? Im pretty sure you cant do that. Beside, why you want to use your phone's touchscreen as a controller when a keyboard is far superior? RE: Can I use my Android phone as a controller in PPSSPP for Windows? Built in to PPSSPP -- no As a seprate app -- yes there are multiple choices to make your phone a wifi or bt controller for your linux kac or windows computer. Some examples are [Ultimate gamepad], [droidpad], [bt controller], and others. Btw, accel to be honest for any game that requires percision or speed I would never use a touch screen or keyboard, I would only use a gamepad. For something where timing is not as tight or as many buttons are not needed at one time then I don't really have a preference. |

RE: Can I use my Android phone as a controller in PPSSPP for Windows? Yea I just can't play anything faster then Valkyria Chronicles (GEB/MH ect) with a keyboard, though to be fair I can't really play any of those well with a touch screen. I need physical controls that were made to have the thumb, index and middle finger work together. When I play pc games I love keyboard and mouse, but I guess when I play console games thhey just seem to fit a controller to me better. Plus I never really felt the keyboard was the strong point of keyboard and mouse controls. Without the mouse the keyboard just feels like a a mess of buttons arranged well for writing text but poorly for playing games. |

RE: Can I use my Android phone as a controller in PPSSPP for Windows? I guess it'll need some time for me to get used to playing with keyboard. I'm currently playing Metal Slug Anthology and it feels weird with keyboard. I prefer my thumb pressing the buttons and sliding it to X to Square, the same way I play with my PSP. I'm planning on playing next Dissidia 012 Duodecim Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy Crisis Core so I guess the keyboard would suit it very well. |

RE: Can I use my Android phone as a controller in PPSSPP for Windows? Here it is. Just few notes, the 'On-screen Keyboard' shift some keys, like the left 'Fn' key with right 'Ctrl' key Old laptop: Lenovo G458Just look at your keyboard. It should make sense AMD/ATI Radeon HD 7310 | [email protected] | APU E1-1200 Dual Core | 2.5 GB DDR3 400MHz | Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit New laptop: Lenovo ideapad 100 Nvidia Geforce 920M 2GB / Intel HD Graphics 5500 | [email protected] | Intel Core i3-5005U 2GB | 2GB DDR3 2000MHz | Window 10 Home 64-bit |

My right hand isn't very good with it. My buttons are not like the way it is in PSP LOL but I find it easier to use in Metal Slug and Tekken 6 (Personal preference, of course haha) I ain't using analogs yet since I don't have Final Fantasy at the moment but we'll see how it goes. If it doesn't turn out great, I'll need to do some workaround and maybe inherit some in your keyboard map haha. I don't know whats the purpose of Rapid Fire and Analog Limiter yet so I ain't touching those LOL. |

RE: Can I use my Android phone as a controller in PPSSPP for Windows? If you have been playing PC games for some time, you should feel natural in my button map.. unless youre left-handed. Then its a different story Old laptop: Lenovo G458Rapid Fire is a function where a button (Square for example) is automatically pressed. Its not as fast as just smashing but its good for going through menus Analog limiter is a function temporally limit the analog. Some games have separate animation for running (push the analog all the way) and walking (half way push the analog) AMD/ATI Radeon HD 7310 | [email protected] | APU E1-1200 Dual Core | 2.5 GB DDR3 400MHz | Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit New laptop: Lenovo ideapad 100 Nvidia Geforce 920M 2GB / Intel HD Graphics 5500 | [email protected] | Intel Core i3-5005U 2GB | 2GB DDR3 2000MHz | Window 10 Home 64-bit |

Post: #1 |
How to use a generic controller for PPSSPP? Hi guys! First of all, this is an amazing product. I will eventually buy the Gold version if I get the ins and outs of it. This is my first time to try this with a controller. I bought a controller earlier today and was wondering how to use it for the PPSSPP. Yes, I have googled but I haven't found any solution. The pc reads my controller but the PPSSPP couldn't. Please help me. Thank you guys |

RE: How to use a generic controller for PPSSPP? It could be wise to tell us the model of your gamepad, maybe the devs will work for making it compatible with PPSSPP. In the meantime you can use some wrapper library like this in order to let think the emu that you are using an xobx36 gamepad (although take note that I've not tested this), or use some keyboard simulator like xpadder. Since English is not my first language sorry for some misspelling on my posts |

RE: How to use a generic controller for PPSSPP? It depends on which ppsspp version you use. Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1The versions on which Option=>Controls work you don't need to do anything On version Options=>Controls don't work, you have to go to(screen menus)System=>Controls=>left to page 3(Pad) and enable 'mapping active' If it doesn't work,go to Control Panel=>Game Controllers=>Advanced=>make sure the controller is selected i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save GameStates Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |
